3) Val d’Isere

With its highest altitude measuring at almost 3,400 metres, it is a perfect resort for families that are familiar with skiing. In mid-December each year, visitors to this resort will be lucky enough to witness the Critérium de la Première Neige, a Federation Internationale de Ski (FIS) competition, where they can gain some inspiration from watching the professionals in action.

4) Nendaz

With its glorious, mountainous scenery and its location within the 4 Vallées, Nendaz proves to be a popular and much-loved resort by families. This magnificent Swiss resort oozes fun! Sledging fans can hire sledges from the resort from as little as 10 CHF and take advantage of the 3km long sledge run. Skiers wanting to recharge their batteries can relax in the resort's spa, Spa Des Bissis. 5) Verbier

For families thinking of perhaps an early or late season skiing holiday, the breathtaking Swiss resort of Verbier could prove ideal. Due to its high altitude, plenty of snowfall is assured and this, coupled with its lively and bustling atmosphere and abundance of amenities, makes this resort a popular one for families.
