French ski resorts close to Geneva Airport
If you’re flying into the French Alps, Geneva airport is a great choice of arrival point. Offering transfers under 90 minutes to some of the Alps’ best rated resorts, it’s also an airport that’s well connected around Europe and beyond.
Les Gets
Famously a family-friendly resort, Les Gets clocks in at just 70 minutes by car from Geneva airport. Not only is it packed with activities for children and families, but the short transfer will make for a less stressful travelling experience with little ones.
La Clusaz
Even closer to Geneva than Les Gets is La Clusaz, a great option for serious skiers as the ski season is longer than most, usually closing in early May. The resort also prides itself on an inclusive attitude to skiing, offering a special guide and map of the village for visitors with additional access needs, making it perfect if there’s someone with a disability in your group.
Morzine
Taking a little longer than the other resorts on the list, a transfer to Morzine from Geneva Airport should take just under 90 minutes - but it could be worth the extra driving time. Morzine is part of the Portes du Soleil ski area and offers access to a whopping 650km of slopes with an incredibly wide variety of terrains available to you. For variety, you can’t go far wrong here.
If you’re thinking of investing in a ski chalet or apartment in the French Alps, choosing a resort near to Geneva airport could really pay off. By ensuring your property is easy to get to, you’re ensuring that your property appeals to the maximum number of people possible.
