The family friendly, authentic and traditional village of Les Carroz, created in 1936 at an altitude of 1140m, the resort forms part of the large and very impressive 265km Grand Massif ski domain, serviced by 68 lifts. The third largest interconnected ski domain in the French Alps with skiing to 2480m it is perfectly situated on a sunny plateau, linking easily with the ski resorts of Flaine, Samoens, Sixt-fer-a-Cheval  and Morillon.

Full of character the resorts central square offers a good selection of small shops, restaurants and café’s to enjoy while the village is dotted with farms, chalets and chapels giving it very much that a lived in feeling and year round appeal.

A great base for intermediary skiers, there is also good skiing for beginners while for experts there are proper black pistes in the Molliets Valley next door as well as extensive off piste sectors throughout the domain to keep them busy. Reliable snow fall and few queues at the lifts, the slopes above the village are densely wooded, making for good local skiing in a storm.

In addition to skiing and snow-boarding the resort offers the chance to take part in ice skating, tobogganing, snow-shoeing and to try dog sledding as well. Indoors activities can include a Cinema and a large Sports complex that includes an Indoor and outdoor heated Swimming Pool, as well as a Wellness Spa which comprises Saunas, Tepidarium space, Turkish Bath, Indoor Solarium and Herbal Room. 

For those wanting to use their Les Carroz property in the summer, the lifts are open and the resort offers 200km of marked footpaths across the Grand Massif with hiking trails for all abilities. Anyone wanting to travel on two wheels, Les Carroz is a very popular destination offering excellent facilities with a wide selection of mountain bike downhill trails and road bike routes used by the Tour de France to choose from. Climbing, pot holing, white water rafting, golf, fishing and horse riding are just a few of the other options owners can enjoy.
