Made up of 5 areas Bourg-Saint-Maurice, Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 1950 and Arc 2000 there are 200km of local skiing serviced by 54 lifts, while Les Arcs itself is also part of the much greater 425km Paradiski ski domain one of Europe’s largest ski domains, that includes La Plagne.

Considered by many as the home of snowboarding, Les Arcs has a good Terrain Park with assorted green, red and black options. Les Arcs is a great place for beginner skiers and boarders, yet offers many challenging runs for those more experienced. The speed skiing course at Les Arcs 2000 was used in the 1992 Winter Olympics downhill race is 2000m with an additional 700m stopping distance.

Facing West and benefiting the sun in the afternoon, Les Arcs 1800 is made up of 4 villages Charvet, Villards, Charmettoger and Chantel. Thanks to the topography of the mountain, this area of Les Arcs benefits from often having the better weather conditions.

Les Arcs 1800 conveniently located just above Les Arcs 1600 is the largest of the resort areas and thanks to its altitude is snow sure for the whole season. Comprising over 100 shops, hotels, cinema, and Ice Rink there are many restaurants to suit all tastes.

In the summer in addition to the diverse array of hiking trails, Les Arcs 1800 also has its own golf course. Thanks to parts of the lift network being open through July and August and Les Arcs 1950 having hosted the Tour de France, mountain biking is becoming ever more popular in the area.
